NikeTalk wasn’t the first sneaker community to arise online, but in the decade-plus of its existence it’s easily become the most well-known — and the most important. Over the years its membership has gone forth to create much of what we identify as sneaker culture. They’ve founded shops, designed shoes, started blogs. And all the while the original site soldiers on, serving as introduction, proving ground, and just a source of entertainment.
